微软新一代浏览器。微软新的 IE 浏览器项目 Project Spartan 在 Build 2015 上正式更名为 Microsoft Edge。最新的 Edge 采用了 Chromium 内核，当然也兼容以前 IE 的功能。

由于全新 Microsoft Edge 浏览器基于 Chromium 开源项目开发，除了通过 Microsoft Store 下载扩展程序，用户还可以通过启用“开发人员模式”和“允许来自其他应用商店的扩展”功能加载本地扩展包和访问谷歌 Chrome 商店下载扩展程序。

相比原版的微软Edge浏览器，谷歌Chrome浏览器多年来一直在浏览器市场份额占比巨大，此次微软基于Chromium内核改造的新型Edge浏览器的推出，给浏览器市场的未来带来了更多可能，用户会做何选择还是取决于新版Edge能否带来更好的使用体验。
