Pixiv 最大特色是支持关键字检索，每张图片都会被标注有标签，所以可以以查找自己感兴趣的标签的方法来找图交流！在 Pixiv 里面发表著作的话，只要是新发的就会显示在首页。但是因为用户量非常大，大约是每一秒钟就会有N幅新著作上传，所以……！
pixiv 现在收录著作主要分为：插画、漫画、小说三类内容，并经过标签系统对用户的著作进行分类和查找，主题来历可能为：日本动漫、日本漫画、电子游戏的同人艺术，或者是朴实的原始艺术。当图片内容只合适成人观众，而不合适儿童欣赏时，便会透过一过滤器分隔其内容，防止儿童直接阅读，这项设定可在用户的个人资料中敞开或关闭。
